Recently, I had the privilege of photographing a breathtaking mountain wedding in New Zealand's Southern Alps for the lovely couple, Amy and Jimmy. Their special day was nothing short of magical, set against some of the most stunning scenery imaginable.
The wedding took place in March, a time when the West Coast of New Zealand is particularly enchanting. The natural beauty of the Southern Alps provided a dramatic and picturesque backdrop for this intimate family occasion. We gathered around a serene pond, nestled deep within the mountains, where Amy and Jimmy exchanged their vows.
One of the highlights of the day was the incredible helicopter ride that took us to various locations around the Alps. This allowed us to capture their love in a variety of spectacular settings, each more awe-inspiring than the last. From towering peaks to secluded valleys, every spot we visited added a unique element to their wedding story.
Amy and Jimmy’s wedding was not just about the stunning visuals, though. It was a celebration filled with heartfelt moments and genuine connection, reflecting the couple’s deep love for each other. Being able to document these intimate moments in such a magnificent setting was truly an honor.
